Who are we ?
Mark Challis began his craft as a French Polisher and Cabinet Maker over 30 years ago when he joined the furniture team in Newury's historic store, Camp Hopson.
Today Mark operates out of his Newbury workshop and is proud that whilst some new techniques enable him to work on a commercial scale, he still relies on his traditional craftmanship to bring your furniture back to life.

Most modern pieces of furniture have lacquered finishes which help resist both heat and water. However, special spray equipment is required to restore these surfaces. Whatever your project, we have the facilities and skills to repair your furniture and re-create a showroom finish.
Perhaps you are a company with a reception area that needs a facelift or you simply you have a lot of wooden furniture, doors or stairs that need to be kept in prime condition? We are happy to visit your site and provide you with a no obligation quotation for the required restoration work.

Have you seen some furniture that you really like but the dimensions are just not right for your home? Whether its as small as a TV stand, a made-to-measure shelves or an intricate book-case we can discuss, design and manufacture it together.
We are committed to helping our customers keep their furniture looking at its best. We'll keep in regular touch with you to repair marks and nicks quickly, and even offer monthly maintenance plans to suit the available budget for our Commercial customers.
If circumstances cause damage to a piece of furniture and you are covered by insurance. We are happy to provide you with an estimate for the restoration work, often at no charge... of course we do hope you will choose us to do the work !
